  • Charles Sturt University (map)

The Program concentrates on raising market awareness, provides technical training on the regulatory requirements to enter each market and advises companies on how to best to manage their supply chains, so that maximum value is returned to the producer. The six week blended learning program comprises online forums, workshops, mentoring and tailored advice that will address specific issues such as

  1. raising the awareness of the new market opportunities in China, Japan and Korea, three of Australia’s largest agricultural export markets. This would include addressing issues such as market selection, market trends, export promotion and development so that producers are export ready
  2. highlighting the technical aspects of these agreements (e.g. HS Tariff codes, valuation, rules of origin, customs declarations and procedures, Authorised Economic Operator Schemes ) so that producers remove any legal or regulatory impediments to the sale of their goods or services
  3. educating producers on transport and logistics issues that must be addressed to successfully get product to market. Importantly this will include information on successful supply chain management strategies and techniques; how best to use freight forwarders and customs agents.
